Maturation

Don Q 151° Overproof Rum is a fiery spirit with a golden colour and reddish reflections. Behind the unique and fiery taste of the rum is the distillation of distilled molasses and a three-year ripening in American white oak barrels - so a perfect development and imprint of the aromas is achieved. For a harmonious composition of different and complex aromas, this rum is stored in wooden barrels, where Bourbon and Canadian Whisky could previously experience their maturation. Due to its high alcohol content (75.5%), Don Q 151° Rum is one of the few over-proof rums with such a short maturation period.

Taste

A clear alcoholic bite with slightly sweet vanilla or crème brûlée notes will accompany you through the tasting of this excellent rum. The Don Q 151° has already won several awards, including the silver medal at the Madrid International Rum Conference 2016. This rum appeals to true rum connoisseurs or experienced bartenders.

Tasting

Pure enjoyment is not recommended for Don Q 151° because of its alcohol content. Mixed in cocktails or long drinks, the Puerto Rican rum can develop its taste and aromas perfectly.
